General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21692) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human BEND4, targeting the amino acid region 28–305 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human BEND4 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. BEN domain containing 4 (BEND4) is a protein-coding gene in humans, located on the short arm of chromosome 4 at position 4p13, that encodes a BEN domain-containing protein predicted to function as a DNA-binding transcriptional modulator and chromatin boundary factor. The BEN domain, a conserved motif found in select transcription factors, enables BEND4 to mediate chromatin organization by marking boundaries between open and closed chromatin regions, thereby influencing gene expression patterns, particularly in embryonic stem cells and primordial germ cell differentiation. Unlike some related BEN proteins that primarily repress transcription, BEND4 activates genes associated with stem cell differentiation and interacts with pluripotency factors to regulate germ cell fate.
DPABH-21692 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:20–1:200) applications.
DPABH-21692 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
