General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-12029) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATP5SL, targeting the amino acid region 1–158 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ATP5SL (ATP Synthase F1 Subunit S-like) is a nuclear-encoded mitochondrial-associated protein that is homologous to components of the ATP synthase complex, although its exact functional role remains incompletely defined. It is thought to be involved in the assembly, stability, or regulation of the mitochondrial ATP synthase (complex V), which is essential for oxidative phosphorylation and ATP production. Unlike canonical catalytic subunits of ATP synthase, ATP5SL is considered an auxiliary or regulatory factor rather than a core enzymatic component. Expression studies indicate that ATP5SL is broadly expressed across tissues, consistent with a fundamental role in cellular energy metabolism. However, its precise molecular function, interaction partners, and contribution to mitochondrial bioenergetics are still under investigation, and current understanding is largely based on homology and predicted mitochondrial involvement.
DPABH-12029 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000) application.
DPABH-12029 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
