General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-25408) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATG13, targeting the amino acid region 57–190 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Autophagy-related protein 13 (ATG13) is a mammalian protein encoded by the ATG13 gene on human chromosome 11p11.2, serving as an essential scaffold in the ULK1 kinase complex that initiates macroautophagy, a conserved lysosomal degradation pathway for cytoplasmic components. This ~67 kDa phosphoprotein interacts with ULK1, FIP200 (RB1CC1), and ATG101 to form a large (~3 MDa) preautophagosomal complex that translocates to punctate structures upon nutrient starvation, thereby promoting autophagosome biogenesis—the formation of double-membrane vesicles that engulf cellular cargo for degradation—while being dispensable for downstream maturation steps.
DPABH-25408 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-25408 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
