General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-21495) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ATG101, targeting the amino acid region 1–218 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ATG101 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Autophagy-related protein 101 (ATG101), also known as C12orf44, is a protein encoded by the human ATG101 gene located on chromosome 12q13.13, spanning approximately 12 kb with six exons. The protein is 218 amino acids long with a molecular weight of approximately 25 kDa. It functions as a key regulator in macroautophagy, a conserved catabolic process that degrades cytoplasmic components via lysosome-mediated degradation, by facilitating the nucleation step of autophagosome formation—the double-membrane vesicles that sequester cellular cargo for delivery to lysosomes. ATG101 is ubiquitously expressed across human tissues, with particularly high levels in the testis and thyroid, and it localizes primarily to the cytoplasm and cytosol, including sites of phagophore assembly during autophagy initiation.
DPABH-21495 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:800), IP (0.5-4.0 μg for 1.0-3.0 mg of total protein lysate), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
DPABH-21495 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
