General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-26914) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ALAS2, targeting the amino acid region 502–574 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ALAS2 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The heme biosynthetic pathway begins from delta aminolevulinic acid synthase (ALAS) catalyzing the condensation of glycine and succinyl-CoA to delta aminolevulinic acid (ALA) in the mitochondria. ALAS is coded by two genes: ALAS1 and ALAS2 . ALAS1 is ubiquitously expressed in all cells, and the negative feedback is regulated by the heme pool; however, ALAS2 is specifically expressed only in erythroid cells. DPABH-26914 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:3,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications. DPABH-26914 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
