General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03644) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human ADSL, targeting the amino acid region 185–280 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with ADSL from mouse, rat, dog, pig, cow, and horse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the lyase 1 family. It is an essential enzyme involved in purine metabolism, and catalyzes two non-sequential reactions in the de novo purine biosynthetic pathway: the conversion of succinylaminoimidazole carboxamide ribotide (SAICAR) to aminoimidazole carboxamide ribotide (AICAR) and the conversion of adenylosuccinate (S-AMP) to adenosine monophosphate (AMP). Mutations in this gene are associated with adenylosuccinase deficiency (ADSLD), a disorder marked with psychomotor retardation, epilepsy or autistic features. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
DPABH-03644 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500) applications.
DPABH-03644 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
