General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03592) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ADK, targeting the amino acid region 94–339 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ADK from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Adenosine kinase (ADK; EC 2.7.1.20) is an abundant, evolutionarily conserved enzyme in mammalian tissues that catalyzes the phosphorylation of adenosine (ADO) to adenosine monophosphate (AMP) using ATP as the phosphate donor, thereby regulating intracellular and extracellular adenosine concentrations essential for energy homeostasis and purinergic signaling. This high-affinity, low-capacity phosphotransferase belongs to the ribokinase (RK) family of proteins, sharing structural and mechanistic similarities with ribokinase and microbial sugar kinases, and plays a pivotal role in adenosine salvage pathways by preventing excessive accumulation of this nucleoside, which acts as an endogenous protective signal during cellular stress.
DPABH-03592 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03592 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
