General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-20984) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ADAT1, targeting the amino acid region 156–502 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ADAT1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ADAT1 (Adenosine Deaminase Acting on tRNA 1) is an enzyme involved in post-transcriptional modification of transfer RNA (tRNA). It catalyzes the deamination of adenosine to inosine at specific positions within tRNA molecules, a process important for proper codon recognition and translational fidelity. ADAT1 primarily functions in the nucleus and contributes to the maturation and quality control of tRNA, thereby ensuring accurate and efficient protein synthesis. As part of the tRNA editing machinery, it plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the genetic code during translation. ADAT1 is broadly expressed across tissues, reflecting its essential housekeeping function in cellular protein production. Dysregulation of tRNA modification enzymes like ADAT1 can potentially impact translational accuracy and cellular homeostasis. DPABH-20984 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IF/ICC (1:50–1:500) applications. DPABH-20984 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
