General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-03645) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ACSL3, targeting the amino acid region 581–720 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ACSL3, or acyl-CoA synthetase long-chain family member 3, is a gene that encodes an enzyme critical for lipid metabolism in humans, specifically activating long-chain fatty acids by forming acyl-CoA thioesters to facilitate their incorporation into cellular lipids or degradation through beta-oxidation. Located on chromosome 2q36.1, the ACSL3 protein is predominantly expressed in brain tissues, with notable levels in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, and parathyroid gland, contributing to energy homeostasis and membrane biogenesis. The enzyme localizes to multiple subcellular compartments, including the endoplasmic reticulum, lipid droplets, and peroxisomes, enabling rapid fatty acid uptake and esterification in response to nutritional cues.
DPABH-03645 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-03645 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
