General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-14467) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ACAA2, targeting the amino acid region 90–397 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ACAA2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ACAA2, also known as mitochondrial 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase, is a pivotal metabolic enzyme that catalyzes the final step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway. By facilitating the thiolytic cleavage of 3-ketoacyl-CoA into acetyl-CoA and a shortened acyl-CoA, it plays a fundamental role in cellular energy production and lipid homeostasis. Beyond its classic metabolic function, ACAA2 has been identified as a functional binding partner of the pro-apoptotic protein BNIP3, suggesting a critical regulatory link between fatty acid metabolism and programmed cell death. In clinical research, its dysregulation is frequently associated with the progression of various malignancies, metabolic syndromes, and cardiovascular diseases, making it a high-value biomarker for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Western blot (WB) assays. Antibodies targeting ACAA2 are essential tools for investigating mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic reprogramming in both tumor microenvironments and metabolic disorders.
DPABH-14467 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
DPABH-14467 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
