General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL309) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AQP9, targeting the amino acid region 125–158 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Aquaporin-9 (AQP9) is a membrane channel protein belonging to the aquaporin family of water-selective transporters, specifically classified as an aquaglyceroporin due to its permeability to water as well as small neutral solutes such as glycerol, urea, hydrogen peroxide, and arsenite. Encoded by the AQP9 gene located on chromosome 15q21.3 in humans, AQP9 consists of 295 amino acids in its primary isoform and forms homotetrameric structures in cell membranes, each monomer featuring six transmembrane α-helices connected by loops with conserved asparagine-proline-alanine (NPA) motifs that create a selective pore for solute passage. The protein's ar/R (aromatic/arginine) constriction site further regulates permeability, allowing solutes up to approximately 3.4 Å in diameter while excluding ions and larger molecules.
CABT-BL309 is suitable for use in ELISA (1:4,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:100), Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) applications.
CABT-BL309 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M PBS, pH 7.4, 50% Glycerol, 0.05% Proclin 300. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
