General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4139) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human AKD1, targeting the amino acid region 921–1205 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. AKD1 (Adenylate Kinase Domain Containing 1) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a predicted intracellular protein containing domains related to adenylate kinase–like enzymes, which are involved in cellular nucleotide homeostasis. Although its precise enzymatic activity has not been fully validated, proteins with adenylate kinase domains typically participate in the interconversion of adenine nucleotides (ATP, ADP, and AMP), thereby helping to maintain cellular energy balance. AKD1 is thought to play a regulatory or auxiliary role in energy metabolism or nucleotide signaling rather than acting as a primary metabolic enzyme. Expression data suggest it is present across multiple tissues, indicating a potentially fundamental cellular function. However, its detailed biochemical properties, substrate specificity, and physiological roles remain poorly characterized and require further experimental investigation.
CABT-BL4139 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:20–1:200), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
CABT-BL4139 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
