General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL169) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ACBD7, targeting the amino acid region 1–88 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ACBD7 (Acyl-CoA Binding Domain Containing 7) encodes a protein that contains an acyl-CoA–binding domain, suggesting a role in lipid metabolism and intracellular fatty acyl-CoA transport or regulation. Although its precise biochemical function is not fully characterized, proteins in the ACBD family are generally involved in binding long-chain acyl-CoA molecules and participating in lipid metabolic pathways, including β-oxidation, lipid synthesis, and membrane lipid remodeling. ACBD7 is predicted to be a cytoplasmic or organelle-associated protein and may influence cellular lipid homeostasis by modulating the availability or trafficking of acyl-CoA substrates. Expression studies indicate tissue distribution across multiple organs, though functional specialization remains unclear. Compared with other ACBD family members, ACBD7 is less well studied, and its physiological roles and disease associations are still largely inferred from domain homology rather than direct experimental evidence.
CABT-BL169 is suitable for use in ELISA application.
CABT-BL169 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
