General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-29122) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human PRRT1. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with PRRT1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. PRRT1 (Proline-Rich Transmembrane Protein 1) is a protein-coding gene that encodes a small membrane-associated protein predominantly expressed in the central nervous system. PRRT1 has been implicated in the regulation of synaptic function, particularly through interactions with ionotropic glutamate receptors such as AMPA receptors, where it may influence receptor trafficking and synaptic plasticity. Structurally, the protein contains a proline-rich region and a transmembrane domain, consistent with a role in protein–protein interactions at the neuronal membrane. Although its precise physiological functions are still being elucidated, PRRT1 is thought to contribute to neuronal signaling and excitatory neurotransmission.
DPABH-29122 is suitable for use in WB 1 (500-1:2000), IF/ICC 1 (100-1:500) applications.
DPABH-29122 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
