The monoclonal antibody ND-2D3 works well in both ELISA and western blot for a number of species. Since assay conditions vary, the optimum dilution should be determined for each particular application. Note: The antibody is dissolved in a buffer containing BSA and is therefore not recommended to use for coating.

General Notes

This product consists of affinity-purified mouse monoclonal antibodies against vitellogenin from common carp (Cyprinus carpio).
The monoclonal antibody binds with high affinity to vitellogenin from common carp (Cyprinus carpio). The antibody also cross-reacts with vitellogenin from fathead minnow (Pimephales promelas), zebrafish (Danio rerio), goldfish (Carassius auratus), mullet (Mugil sp.), pinfish (Lagodon rhomboides) and sucker (Catostomidae sp.). The antibody does not react with vitellogenin from striped bass (Morone saxatilis) or brown bullhead (Ictalurus nebulosus). The degree of cross- reactivity differs between species and with the methods employed.
The monoclonal antibody works well in both ELISA and western blot for a number of species.
