Q: Are you able to advise on optimal storage conditions please? The product info states to store at -20 °C. Would storing at -80 °C damage the antibody? Also what would you recommend the lowest concentration to store it at please?

A: Storing the antibody at -80 °C should not cause damage and may even provide better long-term stability. To prevent deterioration, we strongly recommend aliquoting the antibody into small, single-use volumes to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which is the most common cause of stability issues.

For long-term storage, we recommend keeping the antibody at ≥ 0.5 mg/mL, ideally 1 mg/mL or higher if possible. Very dilute antibody solutions (<0.1 mg/mL) are more prone to stability problems.

If you need to adjust your antibody to a suitable storage concentration, we suggest using a buffer containing 1–5% BSA and 0.02–0.05% sodium azide.
