This product (Catalog No. CABT-L1280W) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against SAH. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SAH from n/a. S-adenosylhomocysteine (SAH) is a naturally occurring compound formed as a byproduct of methylation reactions where S-adenosylmethionine (SAM) donates a methyl group to substrates such as DNA, proteins, or lipids. SAH is subsequently hydrolyzed to homocysteine and adenosine. Because it acts as a potent inhibitor of methyltransferases, its intracellular levels are tightly regulated to maintain proper methylation balance. Elevated SAH concentrations are associated with impaired methylation capacity and have been linked to cardiovascular diseases and other metabolic disorders. CABT-L1280W is suitable for use in ELISA application. CABT-L1280W is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
