General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBXY26005) is a human-derived monoclonal antibody raised against s. typhi S. typhi H antigen. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The H antigen of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi (S. typhi) is the flagellar antigen located on the bacterial flagellum and is primarily composed of the protein flagellin. It represents one of the key surface antigens used in serological classification of Salmonella species. In S. Typhi, the H antigen corresponds to the phase-1 flagellar antigen (Hd) and contributes to bacterial motility as well as host immune recognition. During infection, the H antigen can stimulate the production of specific anti-flagellar antibodies, which are detected in serological tests such as the Widal test. Along with the O antigen (somatic LPS antigen) and the Vi capsular antigen, the H antigen forms an important part of the antigenic structure that defines the identity and immunological characteristics of S. Typhi.
