General Notes
The helices II and III of SpA domain D interact with the variable region of the 2A2 Fab heavy chain (VH) through framework residues, without the involvement of the hypervariable regions implicated in antigen recognition. This combination is highly conservative and does not disturb Fab conformation and does not appear to affect accessibility to the antigen binding site.
