Suitable for use in Control, ELISA. Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBXY26003) is a human-derived monoclonal antibody raised against s. aureus S. aureus Efb. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Efb (Extracellular fibrinogen-binding protein) is a secreted virulence factor produced by Staphylococcus aureus. This protein plays an important role in immune evasion by interacting with both fibrinogen and components of the host complement system. The N-terminal region of Efb binds fibrinogen, which can promote bacterial aggregation and help shield the bacteria from immune recognition, while the C-terminal domain binds complement component C3/C3b, interfering with complement activation and opsonization. By disrupting complement-mediated phagocytosis and helping form protective fibrinogen layers around bacterial cells, Efb contributes to the ability of S. aureus to survive in host tissues and bloodstream during infection. DMAB-CBXY26003 is suitable for use in Suitable for use in Control, ELISA applications. DMAB-CBXY26003 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS-Tris. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
