Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Storage
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Introduction
L-lactate dehydrogenase 1 (LdhA/LctE) is a cytoplasmic oxidoreductase (EC 1.1.1.27) in Staphylococcus aureus that catalyzes the reversible conversion of L-lactate to pyruvate, supporting anaerobic metabolism and redox balance. It enables bacterial growth under nitrosative stress and is essential for energy production during oxygen limitation. The full-length protein is recombinantly expressed in E. coli, yeast, and baculovirus systems with >85% purity. Its role in stress adaptation makes LdhA a potential target for disrupting S. aureus resilience in hostile environments.
