Introduction
Staphylococcus aureus Enterotoxin Type C (SEC) belongs to the classical enterotoxin family (SEA-SEE) and comprises three major subtypes: SEC-1, SEC-2, and SEC-3 . These heat-stable exotoxins function as superantigens, triggering massive T-cell activation and cytokine storms (e.g., TNF-α, IL-6), leading to toxic shock syndrome or staphylococcal food poisoning (SFP).
