Introduction
Polyribosyl-ribitol-phosphate (PRP) is an exopolysaccharide produced by Haemophilus influenzae type b, a human pathogen that causes several diseases, such as pneumonia and meningitis. PRP purification for vaccine formulation is based on filtration and precipitation steps, whose performance depends directly on the polymer molecular weight.
