The glass chip is designed for the generation of monodisperse oil-in-water (O/W) droplets with enhanced control and uniformity. Compared to conventional single-emulsion chips, this device enables more efficient droplet production and improved size consistency. By precisely adjusting the flow rates of the continuous and dispersed phases, as well as interfacial tension, droplets of tunable sizes can be generated within the microchannels.
