Animals were immunized with a formalinized toxoid prepared from crude SLT-II produced by an E. coli K-12 strain lysogenized with the 933W toxin converting phage of enterohemorrhagic E. coli 933. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with the A subunit of SLT-II and does not react with B subunit.
Application Notes
SLT-II neutralization assays and in assays to detect SLT-II producing E. coli strains. It may also be used to differentiate SLT-II from SLT-I.

Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3 days, start cells at 1x10^5 cells/mL and maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 cells/ml
