Rats were immunized with the mouse cell line HT-2. Spleen cells were fused with Sp2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells. Antibody binds to IL-2 receptors on activated murine T and B cells. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox).

Incubate cells at 37°C with 5% CO2 in air atmosphere, renew medium every 2-3, start cells and maintain cultures between 1x10^5-1x10^6 cells/ml
