Animals were immunized with purified mouse IgG2b (lambda). Lymph node cells were fused with P3X63Ag8.653 myeloma cells. The antibody reacts with both IgG2a and IgG2b. Tested and found negative for ectromelia virus (mousepox). A feeder layer of mouse peritoneal macrophages is necessary for successful initiation of a culture from a thawed ampule.
