General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBAS103) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human SV2A. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human SV2A from rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A (SV2A) is a membrane protein present in synaptic vesicles that plays a crucial role in regulating neurotransmitter release and synaptic function. Its expression is reduced in temporal lobe epilepsy patients, and this reduction correlates with the degree of hippocampal sclerosis, suggesting a link between SV2A levels and epilepsy pathogenesis. In Alzheimer's disease (AD), SV2A mRNA and protein levels are significantly decreased in the hippocampus of AD patients compared to controls, and this reduction is consistent with the location of amyloid-beta (Aβ) deposition, implying that SV2A may interact with key AD pathogenic proteins like Aβ. Abrogation of SV2A promotes Aβ production, further supporting its involvement in AD pathogenesis.
DMAB-CBAS103 is suitable for use in ELISA(Cap) application.
DMAB-CBAS103 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), carrier-free, with optional 0.09% sodium azide. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
