This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CBAS041) is a mouse-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human HBEGF. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor (HB-EGF), encoded by the HBEGF gene, is a member of the EGF family that interacts with EGFR and ERBB4 receptors. It plays crucial roles in various physiological and pathological processes, including cell proliferation, migration, and inflammation. HB-EGF expression is upregulated by oxidative stress in endothelial cells and is involved in metabolic syndrome and advanced metabolic diseases. In cancer, HB-EGF expression is altered in multiple types, including bladder, breast, colon, hepatic, ovarian, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, as well as gliomas. It contributes to tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis by promoting cell proliferation, migration, and invasion.
