General Notes

This product (Catalog No. DMAB-CPT1187) is a rabbit-derived monoclonal antibody raised against human PIEZO2. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. FAM38B, also named as PIEZO2, is a mechanosensitive, rapidly inactivating (RI) ion channel which is open and converts the mechanical stimulus signals into bioelectrical signals after stimulated by mechanical signals. FAM38B has been recently identified in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons to mediate tactile transduction. It plays an important role in the biological process, maintaining cell metabolism and cell migration. Loss-of-function mutations in the human FAM38B gene cause an autosomal recessive syndrome of muscular atrophy with perinatal respiratory distress, arthrogryposis, and scoliosis.
DMAB-CPT1187 is suitable for use in Cytometric Bead Array (0.313-40 ng/mL) application.
DMAB-CPT1187 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS only. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
