This antibody can successfully recognize and capture 24 Cruzeiro and Asia I FMD virus specifically in ELISA using whole virus. This antibody was also reported to neutralize the infectivity of A24 serotype in vitro. This antibody can recognize recombinant AVP1 protein but failed to react with trypsin-treated TT-AVP1, CVP1, and OVP1 in a western blot.
