This antibody is specific for Daratumumab and blocks the Daratumumab binding with human CD38. Daratumumab (Darzalex) is a fully human IgG1 monoclonal antibody. It is approved for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The drug targets CD38, a protein highly expressed on the surface of myeloma cells, inducing cell death through multiple mechanisms, including complement-dependent cytotoxicity (CDC), antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), and apoptosis.
