Conjugation Kits

What is Conjugation Technology?

Conjugation technology involves covalently labeling or conjugating enzymes, biotin, fluorescein, agarose, magnetic beads, or other substances that are easy to detect or separate with certain techniques to antibodies, proteins, or other small molecular substances. By using conjugation technology, researchers can study biological processes in real-time, providing valuable insights into cell and biomolecule behavior.

The Necessity of Conjugation Kits

Conjugation of antibodies, proteins, or other small molecules is an essential step in many types of biological experiments. For example, in order to detect specific proteins in immunoassays (such as immunological experiments such as WB/IHC/IF), it is necessary to couple the primary antibody or secondary antibody to enzymes, fluorescein, etc. In cell staining (bioimaging) applications, reactive dyes (fluorescein) are directly conjugated to extracellular or intracellular proteins (polypeptides) to produce visible and measurable staining. In addition, coupling proteins or antibodies to agarose or magnetic beads provides a method for targeted purification.

Our Conjugation Kits

The conjugation kits we provide can quickly couple HRP, AP, Biotin, Biotin-XX, BSA, KLH, and other proteins or enzymes to biomacromolecules containing free amino groups, such as antibodies, proteins, or peptides. Using directly labeled primary antibodies in immunoassays eliminates the need for secondary antibodies, thereby avoiding tedious incubation and washing operations in ELISA or Western Blot experiments, which is extremely advantageous. Our conjugation kits provide you with a variety of packaging specifications to meet your diverse needs.

Key Considerations for Antibody Conjugation

To successfully conjugate antibodies, it is important to consider several factors. First, ensure that the antibodies being used are purified and not in crude serum or tissue culture supernatant. Additionally, certain buffer constituents may be incompatible with the labeling reaction, so it is important to check the conjugation kit datasheet for details. The concentration of the antibody should also be at least 1 mg/mL.

If your antibody does not meet these requirements, our purification or concentration kits can be used to prepare antibodies for conjugation. Alternatively, our carrier-free antibodies can be used, which are already conjugation-ready and do not require buffer exchange or concentration. These antibodies can simply be added directly to the conjugation reaction.

Whether you are studying cell behavior, diagnosing diseases, or conducting basic research, conjugation kits are an essential tool for any life science researcher. Creative Diagnostics offers labeled antibodies and a broad range of intensely fluorescent dyes and labels including HRP, biotin, ALP, Alexa Fluor® dyes, DyLight® Fluor dyes, R-phycoerythrin (R-PE), at scales from less than 100 μg up to 1 g of IgG antibody. These kits are easy to use, specific, and sensitive, enabling researchers to detect and track a wide variety of biomolecules.
