General Description

Clopidol, also known as meticlorpindol or clopindol, is a pyridinol with broad coccidiostatic activity against early development of Eimeria spp. by inhibiting mitochondrial energy production in sporozoites and trophozoites. A synergistic effect between meticlorpindol and 4-hydroxyquinolones has been described. To achieve complete control, combination products with quinolones are marketed (1, 2).
