General Notes
This antibody is specific to the Bevacizumab binding site, and has negligible binding to the conserved regions of the IgG1 protein. Bevacizumab (Avastin) is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody. It is approved for the treatment of various cancers, including metastatic colorectal cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and renal cell carcinoma. The drug works by binding to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), preventing it from activating its receptors, thereby inhibiting the growth of blood vessels that supply nutrients to tumors.
