This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL3385) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human SMG9, targeting the amino acid region 451–520 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with SMG9 from rat, mouse, dog, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a regulatory subunit of the SMG1 complex, which plays a critical role in nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). Binding of the encoded protein to the SMG1 complex kinase scaffold protein results in the inhibition of its kinase activity. Mutations in this gene cause a multiple congenital anomaly syndrome in human patients, characterized by brain malformation, congenital heart disease and other features.
CABT-BL3385 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL3385 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
