General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5552) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human RNF183, targeting the amino acid region 1–161 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. RNF183, or Ring Finger Protein 183, is a member of the RING finger protein family that functions as a ubiquitin ligase. RNF183 exhibits tissue-specific expression patterns, with higher expression levels in the gall bladder, kidney, and other tissues. RNF183 expression levels are increased in patients with IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (PMID: 32486221). It promotes intestinal inflammation by increasing the ubiquitination and degradation of IkappaBalpha, thereby inducing NF-kappaB activation (PMID: 31889078). RNF183 has also been implicated in other conditions such as chronic kidney disease and Alzheimer's disease.
CABT-BL5552 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
CABT-BL5552 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
