This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2795) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human OR1G1. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. OR1G1 (Olfactory Receptor Family 1 Subfamily G Member 1) is a human protein-coding gene that encodes an olfactory receptor belonging to the G protein–coupled receptor (GPCR) superfamily. It is predicted to have the canonical seven-transmembrane domain structure characteristic of olfactory receptors and is primarily expressed in olfactory sensory neurons of the nasal epithelium. OR1G1 contributes to odor perception by binding specific volatile odorant molecules and activating intracellular signaling pathways via olfactory G proteins (such as Golf), leading to cAMP-mediated neuronal activation. Like many human olfactory receptors, its precise ligand specificity and detailed functional properties remain largely uncharacterized.

CABT-BL2795 is supplied as a liquid formulation in Phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
