General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL5132) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human MCOLN1, targeting the amino acid region 90–299 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human MCOLN1 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. MCOLN1, also named MLIV, ML4, MG-2, and Mucolipidin, belongs to the transient receptor (TC 1.A.4) family, Polycystin subfamily, and MCOLN1 sub-subfamily. It is playing a role in the endocytic pathway and in the control of membrane trafficking of proteins and lipids. MCOLN1 may play a major role in Ca2+ transport regulating lysosomal exocytosis. It is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder characterized by severe psychomotor retardation and ophthalmologic abnormalities, including corneal opacity, retinal degeneration, and strabismus.
CABT-BL5132 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500), IF/ICC (1:200–1:800) applications.
CABT-BL5132 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
