General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2147) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human LIMD2, targeting the amino acid region 1–127 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human LIMD2 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. LIMD2 (LIM Domain Containing 2) is a small cytoplasmic protein that contains a LIM domain, a protein–protein interaction module commonly involved in cytoskeletal organization and signal transduction. LIMD2 is primarily associated with regulation of cell migration and invasive behavior, particularly in the context of cancer progression. It has been reported to localize to mitochondria and participate in cellular metabolic adaptation, linking energy production to motility-related signaling pathways. Functionally, LIMD2 can enhance tumor cell invasion and metastasis by modulating pathways involved in actin dynamics and cell adhesion. Elevated expression of LIMD2 has been observed in several cancer types and is often correlated with poor prognosis, suggesting a role in tumor aggressiveness. Overall, LIMD2 is considered a pro-metastatic factor that integrates signaling and metabolic cues to promote cellular movement.
CABT-BL2147 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL2147 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
