General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4967) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KCTD4, targeting the amino acid region 1–259 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human KCTD4 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. The family of potassium channel tetramerization domain (KCTD) proteins consists of 26 members (PMID: 24268103). Potassium channel tetramerization domain containing 4 (KCTD4) is a protein that interacts with CLIC1 to disrupt calcium homeostasis and promote metastasis in esophageal cancer. KCTD4 expression is upregulated in metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), and high KCTD4 expression is associated with poor prognosis in patients with ESCC. This process activates fibroblasts in a paracrine manner, promoting cancer cell invasion via MMP24 signaling as positive feedback (PMID: 37799381). CABT-BL4967 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) application. CABT-BL4967 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
