General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL4963) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human KCNK5, targeting the amino acid region 101–200 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with KCNK5 from mouse, rat, chicken, cow, horse, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes one of the members of the superfamily of potassium channel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains. The message for this gene is mainly expressed in the cortical distal tubules and collecting ducts of the kidney. The protein is highly sensitive to external pH and this, in combination with its expression pattern, suggests it may play an important role in renal potassium transport.
CABT-BL4963 is suitable for use in IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:100–1:500), ICC/IF (1:100–1:500), ELISA (1:5,000–1:10,000) applications.
CABT-BL4963 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
