General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2006) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human KCNK18. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with KCNK18 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. Potassium channels play a role in many cellular processes including maintenance of the action potential, muscle contraction, hormone secretion, osmotic regulation, and ion flow. This gene encodes a member of the superfamily of potassium channel proteins containing two pore-forming P domains and the encoded protein functions as an outward rectifying potassium channel. A mutation in this gene has been found to be associated with migraine with aura.
CABT-BL2006 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:70–1:350) applications.
CABT-BL2006 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
