General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL2002) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human KCNJ5, targeting the amino acid region 61–160 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with KCNJ5 from mouse, rat, chicken, pig, cow, horse, rabbit, and sheep. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes an integral membrane protein which belongs to one of seven subfamilies of inward-rectifier potassium channel proteins called potassium channel subfamily J. The encoded protein is a subunit of the potassium channel which is homotetrameric. It is controlled by G-proteins and has a greater tendency to allow potassium to flow into a cell rather than out of a cell. Naturally occurring mutations in this gene are associated with aldosterone-producing adenomas.
CABT-BL2002 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC-P (1:100–1:500), IHC-F (1:100–1:500), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200), ICC/IF (1:100–1:500), ELISA (1:5,000–1:10,000) applications.
CABT-BL2002 is supplied as a liquid formulation in 0.01M TBS (pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.02% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
