General Notes
This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1619) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human GET4, targeting the amino acid region 5–141 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. GET4, also known as Guided Entry of Tail-Anchored Proteins Factor 4, is a protein-coding gene in humans that encodes a component of the transmembrane domain recognition complex (TRC), which facilitates the post-translational targeting of tail-anchored (TA) proteins to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane. The GET4 protein specifically recognizes the C-terminal transmembrane domains of these TA proteins, aiding their insertion into the ER in a signal recognition particle (SRP)-independent manner. Located on chromosome 7q21.2, the GET4 gene spans approximately 20 kb and produces multiple transcript variants, with the canonical isoform consisting of 327 amino acids.
CABT-BL1619 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:8,000), IHC (1:50–1:500) applications.
CABT-BL1619 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
