This product (Catalog No. CABT-BL1610) is a rabbit-derived IgG polyclonal antibody raised against human GDF3. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with GDF3 from mouse. It has been affinity purified by protein A. This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer. This protein plays a role ocular and skeletal development. Mutations in this gene are associated with microphthalmia, coloboma, and skeletal abnormalities in human patients. CABT-BL1610 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:200–1:1,000), IHC (1:25–1:100) applications. CABT-BL1610 is supplied as a liquid formulation in pH7.4 PBS, 0.05% sodium azide, 40% Glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
