General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-05499) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZSCAN21, targeting the amino acid region 131–282 of the protein. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZSCAN21 is a protein-coding gene located on the long arm of human chromosome 7 at position 7q22.1, encoding a transcription factor characterized by zinc finger (C2H2-type) and SCAN domains. This gene, also known as ZNF38, Zipro1, or KOX25, produces a nuclear protein that acts as a strong transcriptional activator, binding to specific DNA sequences to regulate gene expression. Expressed ubiquitously across human tissues with particularly high levels in the testis and endometrium, ZSCAN21 is essential for spermatogenesis, where it supports the progression of meiotic prophase I in male germ cells.
DPABH-05499 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000) application.
DPABH-05499 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
