General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-10985) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZNF488, targeting the amino acid region 1–233 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ZNF488 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZNF488 (Zinc Finger Protein 488) is a member of the C2H2-type zinc finger protein family that functions primarily as a nuclear transcriptional regulator. It contains multiple zinc finger motifs that enable sequence-specific DNA binding and is commonly associated with transcriptional repression activity. ZNF488 is predicted to interact with chromatin-modifying corepressor complexes such as KAP1/TRIM28 and histone deacetylases, thereby contributing to the establishment of repressive chromatin states and epigenetic gene silencing. Functionally, ZNF488 is implicated in regulation of cell differentiation and developmental gene expression programs, particularly in neural and epithelial contexts. Emerging studies also suggest a potential role in tumor biology, where altered expression of ZNF family members can influence proliferation, invasion, and cellular identity. However, the precise downstream targets and signaling pathways regulated by ZNF488 remain incompletely defined, and much of its functional annotation is inferred from homology with other KRAB-associated zinc finger proteins.
DPABH-10985 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:1,000), IHC (1:20–1:200) applications.
DPABH-10985 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
