General Notes
This product (Catalog No. DPABH-24603) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human ZNF16, targeting the amino acid region 1–211 of the protein. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with Human ZNF16 from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. ZNF16 is a human gene located on the long arm of chromosome 8 at position 8q24.3, encoding the zinc finger protein 16 (ZNF16), a member of the Cys2His2-type zinc finger family of transcription factors characterized by multiple tandem zinc finger motifs that facilitate DNA binding and transcriptional regulation. The protein, also known by synonyms such as KOX9 and HZF1, acts as a transcriptional activator with a trans-activation domain and nuclear localization signals, playing a key role in promoting cell proliferation by facilitating the transition from the S to G2/M phase of the cell cycle. ZNF16 is particularly notable for its involvement in the differentiation of erythroid and megakaryocytic cells, as demonstrated in studies using K562 leukemia cells where it influences lineage-specific maturation processes. Expression of the gene is ubiquitous across human tissues, with the highest levels observed in the ovary (RPKM 5.1) and testis (RPKM 4.3), and it is also detected in various fetal tissues during gestation from 10 to 20 weeks. Structurally, the ZNF16 protein recognizes specific DNA sequences, such as 5'-GNN-3' motifs, through its zinc finger domains, enabling precise gene regulation.
DPABH-24603 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:1,000–1:4,000) application.
DPABH-24603 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, pH 7.3. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
