This product (Catalog No. DPABH-15677) is a rabbit-derived polyclonal antibody raised against human VCP. This antibody exhibits cross-reactivity with VCP from mouse and rat. It has been affinity purified by Protein A. This gene encodes a member of the AAA ATPase family of proteins. The encoded protein plays a role in protein degradation, intracellular membrane fusion, DNA repair and replication, regulation of the cell cycle, and activation of the NF-kappa B pathway. This protein forms a homohexameric complex that interacts with a variety of cofactors and extracts ubiquitinated proteins from lipid membranes or protein complexes. Mutations in this gene cause IBMPFD (inclusion body myopathy with paget disease of bone and frontotemporal dementia), ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease in human patients.
DPABH-15677 is suitable for use in Western blot (WB) (1:500–1:2,000), IHC (1:50–1:200), IF (immunofluorescence) (1:50–1:200) applications.
DPABH-15677 is supplied as a liquid formulation in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. For long-term storage, keep at −20 °C. For short-term use, store at 2–8 °C. Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles to maintain antibody integrity and performance.
